Network Launch Project 1

In this project, a hybrid computer network (passive and active) was designed and implemented for 10 systems with a performance score of 85 out of 100. In the passive section, the physical infrastructure including CAT6 cabling, network outlets, and patch panels were installed as standard to provide stable and low-power connections. In the active section, a 16-port Cisco Gigabit switch and a QoS-capable router (Mikrotik) were used to manage network traffic, which enabled high-speed communication (1Gbps) and optimal bandwidth allocation. The systems were configured with static IPs, and network security was ensured through firewalls and VLANs. Despite the optimal performance (ping below 10ms and speed drop below 5% under load), the final score was reduced due to limitations in automatic backup. It is recommended to add intelligent monitoring systems (such as PRTG) in the next phase. It should be noted that the complex’s internet was wired and ADSL technology was used.
